Fine by me cos I haven't got time to study everyday either and if there's going to be a test at the end I need to know my stuff!!! emoticon

OK, now I really have no choice emoticon

I think I will make it Sunday/Monday cos it is most likely I will have time to do it...

I want to get the webpage for the pictures sorted first though emoticon It is really annoying that they closed this photobucket, I was sooo looking forward to uploading all my smileys emoticon

Re: German for beginners

Since I won't be here in the next few days, here's a little lesson for today (next one hopefully coming on Monday).

DIE ZAHLEN 0-10 - Numbers from 0 to 10

0 null
1 eins
2 zwei *
3 drei
4 vier
5 fünf
6 sechs
7 sieben
8 acht
9 neun
10 zehn

* Often "zwo" is used instead of zwei to avoid confusion with drei.

For pronunciation follow this link (turn your volume on!!!):

Viel Spass! (Lot's of fun!)

Excellent.... hubby is helping me with pronounciation. We have never used zwo... is it the proper thing to do or will we be ok with zwei? emoticon

Re: German for beginners

Hi Beth emoticon

In my experience in the every-day conversation the "zwo" comes up very often, so you can use it without problems. In fact it is really not important, both are fine, but if you have 2 and 3 in a row, for example, or if someone isn't sure what you said when you said "zwei", then you can repeat it as "zwo". I think the main difference is that "zwo" is largely colloquial whereas "zwei" is the so called "Hohdeutsch" (the formal way).

Hope it helped emoticon

Re: German for beginners

Hello guys,

I won't be posting another lesson until next Monday. I am having a very rough week and I have lots of other things to think about at the moment. Sorry emoticon Will try my best to come up with a new post here next week...
