Welcome one and all!
This group is an online meeting place for the knitters and crocheters who attend the 'knit 'n' chat' sessions at 'Yarn' in Beeston, Nottingham!
Feel free to post up what you are currently making, what you have finished, any new gadgets you've found, new techniques, if you are struggling with anything or if you just want to chat about previous meet ups!
Please be nice and friendly, and no spamming the community with irrelevant gumf!

Hi there!
I found the board thanks to Alison and Sarah's mailing - it's a great idea!
Although I do not attend the knit'n'chat meets - or haven't done so far, I have had the cheek to register with this board... I hope it's ok! My name is Gabriella and I do not know many of you, but I know Miss Bell as she taught me how to spin with a spindle on the first spinning workshop in February 2006!
I do knit a lot... and I am a yarn addict 
Hopefully I will be able to post here some of my finished works, and hopefully one day I will find the time to attend the knitting sessions to meet you all in the flesh!

Thankyou for joining the online knit n chat! I initially set up the forum for people who couldn't make it to knit n chat at the shop, so you've come to the right place!

Hi Claire and Liz,
many thanks for the warm welcome
I have been knitting more than spinning, but yes, after the workshop I did some spinning and the last I did is this:
Unfortunately, this has been last year in May, so maybe it's time to do some more spinning 
I have been busy with several projects, among them two Moebius scarves, and now I am knitting a summer bolero with the Rowan Damask and a sleeveless top in white 4ply cotton for my sister...there aren't any pics available for the latter yet, but the bolero is almost done...I only need the last sleeve and finishing. Here a pic:
I am looking forward to make one of the knit'n'chat meets, but the timing is my enemy, as I work until 6pm and near the City Hospital...

That yarn looks great! I haven't done any spinning for AGES!! I am going to woolfest this year, so hopefully that will inspire me!
